There are infinite ways of experiencing our connection to a Higher Power. Living in the Vail Valley and surrounded by The Colorado Rocky Mountains is an ever-present reminder of the beautiful connection we have with our home planet, Mother Earth. The land, rocks, water, plants and animals all serve to remind us of the rhythms and cycles of nature and thus the seasons of our souls. When I am immersed in the beauty of nature, I experience a greater connection with the essence of what connects us all to our source. And, and in turn, I have a greater appreciation of the unique gifts that we have individually been given to share with one another!

Susan is a Certified Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master & Crystal Healer practitioner. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Drake School of Journalism and 25 years of management experience in Corporate America and hotel sales & marketing. Susan believes that her past experiences and love for people has lead her into creating a The Reiki Center of the Rockies and a place of healing. Her intention is to create a safe, comfortable and caring environment where people will receive support as they release old patterns that no longer serve them and create lives of meaning and purpose. REIKI, Journaling, Vibrational Energy Medicine and prayer, has all played an important part in her development. She believes that it is through developing a strong sense of self that we build and maintain balance, stability and create a sense of joy and security within our lives.

Susan began her journey into energetic medicine during her later teenage years. Her curiosity and desire to know the meaning of my life led her down a path with many twists and turns. During this time she received instruction from a group of nurses practicing Therapeutic Healing Touch. She continued to practice, develop and experiment with light that she noticed coming from her hands and how the energy affected her on all levels of her body, mind, spirit and emotions. When she was introduced to Reiki several year later, she experienced a sense of ‘coming home.’ She had re-discovered a connection with her true self through Reiki, a pure healing energy and desired to share and teach Reiki to others. Out of this desire, The Reiki Center of the Rockies was born and located in the Colorado Rocky Mountain town of Edwards.

In Gratitude

Susan is grateful for the instruction she has received from Reiki Master/Teachers, Laurelle Shanti & Michael Baird (Infinite Light Healing Studies in Sedona, AZ), William Lee Rand, Founder of the International Center for Reiki Training, and Reiki Master, Mary D’ Agostino ( Inspirations from the Heart in Ft. Collins, CO). These Teachers have shared their knowledge, love and gratitude for Reiki and its founder, Dr. Mikao Usui.

Susan would also like to express her deep gratitude to Gil & Betsy Greiner with BioEnergetic Systems in Boulder, Colorado for introducing her to Vibrational Energy Medicine and their understanding & nurturing along the way. And to Gwilda Wyaki and her School of Shamanic Arts, Your True Path Home, for her teachings and healings.

And a very special ‘thank you’ to Susan’s family, and especially to her 88 year old mother ‘Betty.’ Betty has always believed in Susan’s goodness, even when she has not always understood her path! Thank you, Betty!
